On my hunt for unique stuff, I often come across many things that inspire me in my creative pursuits. I happened to discover a very artistic and useful store named as ‘The Spinning Wheel’ located in Bangalore.

This team, led by founder and owner, Ms. Rakhi Mutreja, specializes in spinning new stories from artifacts that are old yet closer to your heart! We all know the saying ‘Old is Gold’, but this shop takes it some steps further. They transform and give a complete makeover to your interiors without weighing down on your wallet. So be it turning your old chair into a va-va-voom piece of artistic value with a Khajuraho painting on the back rest or giving a creative spin to a small broken clay horse, these guys have nailed it! The idea is to refurbish products and at the same time recycle objects that are close to our heart. Now, doesn’t it make sense to retain our ancestral antiques and tweak them a bit? You will be able to retain if for a good number of years!

Take a look at some of the revamped furniture items and I’m sure you are bound to fall in love with these artistic pieces.

To spin something new from something old, is creative yet difficult. ‘The Spinning Wheel’ attributes their success to artists who are an integral part of their team, namely Mr. Sanjay, Mr. Babu, Mr. Massi and Mr. Ahmed.

So, the next time you wish to jazz up your interiors, forget about spending a fortune on unnecessary show pieces. Reduce the clutter in your home. Recycle objects of importance and sentiments into something new, which will add value to your home and to your heart.

I thank Ms. Rakhi for permitting me to share their wonderful concept with my readers. Good luck to your team!
